I love to cook and I love to make jewellery, although with three kids I don’t have much time to do either right now! But I’m hoping this blog will inspire me to find time for both, and in the process find a little bit of time for me.
I have a scarily large collection of cookbooks, and lean toward simple straightforward recipes with a focus on fresh ingredients and interesting flavours. My favourite cookbook authors include Jamie Oliver, Donna Hay and Bill Granger, among others.
I’m fairly new to jewellery making but the bug has bitten me bad! I find myself leaning toward art beads and handmade beads of all kinds, and I’m planning to teach myself wirework in the near future.
I live in Melbourne, Australia with my husband, three kids, a dog and a vege patch. When I’m not nagging at the kids, I love to curl up with a good book, especially fantasy and science fiction, or browse my favourite websites.
I’m also a part time science writer, although the last few years have been very part time! Now that the kids are getting older, and two of them are at school, I’m planning to spend more time working too.
You can find me on Pinterest here and my email address is melissa_trudinger at yahoo dot com.
Melissa, what do you mean you are ‘planning to spend more time working too’!! You are working your butt off, its just that you are not getting paid for it!
Ha ha! Lovely blog – well done!
